Dear Parents, Friends and Father Arsenio,
Our P&F and Board held a joint meeting this week to wrap up their year. It was a great occasion to thank members as well as acknowledge achievements. I appreciate the ear of members as a sounding board and fully appreciate the voluntary nature of both. Of note is the fact that Lauren Cefai is stepping over to the fete committee and Kat Di Rago will step into her shoes as P&F president. Talk about a 'Dynamic Duo.' I look forward to working with both.
On Monday we have the second of our 'Move Up' days and all classroom teachers will be in attendance. I was able to appoint the last teacher on Monday of this week, thereby filling our 18 classes. Britt Correia has been appointed to teach in year 3. She has previously taught at our school and is currently working at St Peter Julian's in Mooroolbark.
Melissa Manders has requested leave for the year and Nicole Costin (Our Lady of the Pines, Donvale) and Kristina Reid (St Martin's Rosanna) are departing for other schools. As a result Kylie Roberts (St Joseph's Boronia) Arianna Chor (St Bede's North Balwyn) and Kellie Grace (St Mary's Mt Evelyn) are joining our staff. We are thrilled to have these high calibre people joining our staff. Obviously a spot has been held for Beck Young to return when she is ready.
Our School Leadership team is in the midst of preparing our Annual Action Plan for next year. We will circulate this early in the new year, via the newsletter, so all are aware of our focus for the year.
I look forward to seeing you all at Mass next Wednesday to commemorate the year that has been.
Have a great week
Duncan
