Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships 

In Respectful Relationships, the students have been exploring gender norms, labels and stereotypes i.e. “Boys will be boys” and “You throw like a girl” and how the negative reinforcement of these stereotypes can affect children’s development. Students have also examined gender based violence in the forms of verbal and physical aggression and have worked cooperatively in groups to role play and discuss strategies that can be applied to resolve conflict.
