Canine Comprehension
In the past fortnight students focused on identifying different challenges and how they can use motivators to help overcome them. Students discussed what motivates them, such as: rewards, family, love, games, food and goals.
They compared the similarities and differences between them and Ruby, our therapy dog. It was evident that food, rewards and games were motivating factors for both students and Ruby. Students also learned about body language.
They explored how facial expressions and body language communicates to others how we feel. Furthermore they recognised that others interact differently with us depending on our body language.
