Events & Attractions

There will be three rides that will be located on the oval. These rides are the Atomic Drop Slide, Jumping Castle, and Chair O’ Plane. The animal farm and pony rides will be located near the play pod. There will also be a Footy Challenge and some sport activities led by our P.E team.

Showbags

The collection point will be inside the Green Portables in between the basketball courts. Students will receive their showbag token the morning of the School Fair. Collection times are 1.30 – 3.30pm and 4.30 – 5.30pm.

Any showbags remaining will be given to the student by their classroom teacher on Friday 8th December (all showbags ordered by the family will be given to the eldest child). Any remaining showbag stock will be sold at the School Fair.

Tokens

Students have been quizzed by their classroom teacher on whether they would like to cash in their Caught Ya Cards for tokens. A maximum of two tokens per student is allowed. Classroom teachers will remove 200 CYC points for each token. Tokens can only be used for the BBQ Sausage Sizzle, Slushies, Drinks & Popcorn (school run food stalls). These tokens cannot be used for anything else.

Wristbands

Wristbands are available for pre-purchase for $15 each. The wristbands give access to the three rides, footy challenge course, and petting zoo/pony rides. Wristbands will be available for sale at the School Fair for $20 each. You can pre-purchase wristbands for $15 at the following link. We encourage all members of our community who would like to enjoy our attractions to purchase a wristband. https://compasstix.com/e/gotxbk9lz7

Food & Events

BBQ & School Food Stalls

The BBQ and School Food Stalls will be stationed near the flag poles.

Food Vendors

Other food vendors will be available across from the entrance of the Orange Building. This will include Kebabs, Gelato, Coffee, Donuts & Ice Cream Trucks. We cannot guarantee every food vendor accepts card payment, so we encourage families to bring notes and change.

Community Stalls

Community stalls will be located on the undercover basketball court. Stalls will include handmade items, candles, beanie babies and the return of the very popular Pokémon stall run by Kris. We cannot guarantee every stall holder accepts card payment, so we encourage families to bring notes and change.

Team Dream Performers & DJ

The performance will begin at approximately 5.30pm. The DJ will cease his set once the performers from Team Dream take to the stage. They will conclude our evening.  If you have hearing sensitivity please keep your distance from the DJ speakers which will be located on the oval next to the Orange Building.

Rides

Rides will be located on the south side of the synthetic oval. Individual rides cannot be purchased - rides can only be accessed with a wristband.

Petting Zoo & Pony Attraction

Please follow instructions from organisers as they are trained professionals and understand how to handle wildlife. We strongly encourage parents to always supervise their children around the petting zoo and show respect to our furry visitors so they’re not uncomfortable and startled.

Face Painting & Henna

Confirmed for the School Fair. Location TBD.

Logistics

Time

Students will be dismissed early at 1.30pm. OSCH will be running from 1.30pm. It will be located in the hall. The school fair will start at the time of dismissal and will conclude at 6pm after a performance by the Team Dream performers. Parents are responsible for their children from 1.45pm onwards. Any students left unattended will be taken to the OSCH program and fees will apply.

Staff Support

School staff will be wearing highly visible vests. They will be available for support to any member of our community.

Entry Points

Gates will be open for student dismissal until 1.45pm. Everyone is welcome to enter the school grounds from the front entrance (Mansfield Street) and entrance of the Orange Building (gravel carpark). All other gates will be closed from 1.45pm onwards.

Bins

Please ensure that all rubbish goes right into the bins. We will have a large amount of bins available across the school grounds. Please use them to keep our school clean, sustainable and rubbish free.

Recycling

There will be access to recycling bins. They will have a yellow top lid. Please use them for any plastics, cardboard, paper or material that can be reused.

Toilet Access

Toilet accessibility is available up the stairs of the Orange Building on the Lyndarum Street side. The blue permanent building toilets will also be available. Please respect the facilities and use wisely.

Picnic Area

Families are welcome to bring picnic rugs, fold out chairs and picnic baskets. Our area will be the north side of the oval (closer to the Pink portables).

Family Change Room & Disabled Toilets

Any members of our community that need access to a family change room or disability toilet will need to approach any staff member in a high-vis vest. Staff will give you access to the First Aid Room. These spaces are only accessible with a key.

First Aid

Please ensure that you are aware of your surroundings and responsible for your children and their location. This event is run outside of school hours and it is the responsibility of adults and not teachers for students and young children. If you need immediate support, please see a member of staff in a high-vis vest.

Community Requests

Bikes, Electric Scooters & Sporting Equipment

Please leave bikes and electric scooters at home. As this is a public event, we want to ensure the safety of all members of our community by eliminating any risks in a highly populated area. We also discourage students from bringing their own sporting equipment from home on this occasion. There will be many organised activities running where they can get involved.

Family Pets

Please leave your beloved family pets at home. We will be running a petting zoo and pony ride section and want to ensure the safety of all animals on the night.

Smoking & Vaping

Department of Education school grounds are a smoking and vaping free zone.

Carpark

Please follow local council street signs and road rules. There is a likelihood that council could roam the surrounding streets and fine drivers that are not adhering to the local community road rules. The staff carpark is not accessible to the public for this event.
