We are excited to celebrate Harmony week from 15-21st March this year. Harmony Day itself on the 21st of March is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate our cultural diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all. On this day, students will be acknowledging the importance of diversity and harmony in various ways through the curriculum in their classrooms. Through discussions, activities, and learning experiences, students will explore the values of acceptance, empathy, and understanding, fostering a sense of unity and belonging among all members of our school community. We encourage students to embrace this special day as we celebrate our cultural richness and the beauty of diversity.
On February 16th, Brookside students experienced a day filled with excitement and camaraderie as they celebrated the Taylor Swift Club event. Despite the ‘long lines,’ students eagerly awaited their tickets to the club, then they immersed themselves in creativity and fun. The club provided a platform for students to collaborate and connect with each other, as they crafted friendship bracelets and sang along to their favourite Taylor Swift tunes. Taylor Swift-themed colouring sheets, puzzles, and quizzes added to the festive atmosphere. It was truly a spectacular day, marking a once-in-a-lifetime event right here in Melbourne. As we continue to promote mental health and wellbeing at Brookside, events like the Taylor Swift Club serve as reminders of the importance of fostering connections and joy within our school community.
