Holiday Activity Ideas

We are so close to the Christmas holidays where we can hopefully have some time to relax, spend time with family and friends and give our children some extra hugs. We will have a chance to celebrate Christ’s birth and reflect on the year that was. Depending on the ages of your children will depend on how much 'relaxing' you will have! My hope and prayer for you all is that no matter what your situation, you are able to enjoy and soak up some family time together.

If you aren't going away, it is always good to have some activities planned to keep those active children happy and enjoying family time.

We are blessed to live in an area with plenty of lovely parks and outdoor walks on our doorstep. Also, most larger shopping complexes have fun activities for the younger kids to do whilst you enjoy a hot drink and watch on.

Catching up with school friends is a lovely way for your child to feel connected throughout the holidays and for parents in the same stage of life to share stories over some icy poles and watermelon.

Sometimes a house swap with friends in different areas is a cheap, fun way to get away without the expense.

Below are two links, one with activities to do at home and the other with the different events that are happening in Melbourne these holidays.

Whatever you do these holidays, always remember that you have a great God who loves you and your family! Here at MECS we wish all our families a fun-filled holiday and look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.
