2024 Parent Payments

2024 Parent Payment letters (ie booklists) were sent home with students earlier this month.  Unfortunately to date, very few families have made payments. Whilst it is not compulsory for families to pay the booklist fees, any payments we do receive go directly to purchasing essential supplies required in the classroom, from pencils, pens and erasers, to paper and notebooks for the students to write in daily.

If parents do not pay these annual booklist payments, the school still needs to ensure these essential supplies are available for each student.  This means that funds need to be re-directed from other areas within the school (such as important programs and extra resources for English, Maths and our Specialist programs) that we know the children need.

We pride ourselves on keeping our costs as low as possible by only including the essential items that each student requires in the classroom. Compared to other schools, the amount that Lalor East PS request our families to pay is extremely low. We have had parents comment in the past about how cheap the annual 'fees' are when compared to child care and kindergarten costs.

We know money is tight in our community, and welcome any families to speak to us to set up a payment plan if that assists your family to pay these fees throughout the year.

If a family would like to contribute to the school to 'donate' a booklist for a family who cannot afford to pay, please reach out to the office who will kindly process this donation.
