Term 1Recap

Dromana College's sporting achievements in Term 1 were nothing short of impressive, with our students demonstrating remarkable talent and dedication across various competitions. Here's a look at some of the standout moments:

Swimming Success

Our swim team made quite a splash at the Southern Peninsula District Swimming Championships on February 29th. With 58 students proudly representing Dromana College, their hard work paid off as we secured the championship title for the fourth consecutive year!

Later in the term, on March 25th, Dromana College continued to excel at the Southern Metropolitan Regional Swimming Championships. Fielding our largest team yet, consisting of 44 competitors, we secured a commendable 3rd place among over 60 schools in the region. A special mention goes to Tahni Cronin for her exceptional performance in the 50m Freestyle event, earning her a spot in SSV's state swimming championships. Best of luck to Tahni!

Imogen Baker

One of our standout athletes is Imogen Baker, a Year 12 student. Imogen's achievements include a remarkable 3rd place finish in the Victorian Track and Field Championships Female Under 18, 1500m event. Recently, she showcased her talent at the Australian Cross Country Selection Trials in Stromlo, Canberra, securing an impressive 11th place in the challenging 6km cross country race.

As Imogen prepares for the National Track and Field Championships in Adelaide, where she'll compete in the Women’s Under 18 3000m event, we extend our wishes for her continued success. With a 2nd place finish in the same event last year, Imogen's determination and talent promise an exciting competition ahead.

Congratulations to all our athletes for their outstanding performances and for embodying the spirit of sportsmanship and excellence. Here's to a term filled with remarkable achievements and memorable victories!
