We are learning to revise and edit a narrative that considers the audience and purpose.

VOCABULARY

Revise - to look over again in order to correct or improve

Edit - fixing the mistakes in our writing

Audience - A group of people who are spectators or listens to an event such as a play, concert or meeting

Purpose - why we need it

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Get your child to edit the narrative that they wrote a few weeks ago by looking for many mistakes that they may have made whilst writing their story.

Remind them to search for:

• Spelling 
• Punctuation 
• Meaning 
• Grammar
• Structure 
• Capital letters
• Language features 
• Whether it flows and makes sense
