IB Learner Profile Attributes

Find out more about what it means to be a learner in an IB World School....

The International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profile represents 10 attributes valued by IB World Schools. We believe these attributes can help individuals and groups become responsible members of local, national and global communities.

Developing and demonstrating the attributes of the learner profile provides an important foundation for international-mindedness.

The learner profile supports students in taking action for positive change.

As IB learners we strive to be: inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective. (International Baccalaureate Organisation 2017)

You may have noticed the learner profile attributes on our Student of the Week certificates. Students are selected based on how they have demonstrated the learner profile attributes through their learning and interactions with peers throughout the week.

Have you also spotted the learner profile attributes on display in the foyer just outside the office doors? Rosie and Sophie from 4HC were keen to show you them!

Watch out over the coming weeks for different teams showing you how they represent the learner profile attributes.
