This term, the Foundation and Year Six students took part in the St John First Aid in School Program.
The Year Six students learnt about the first aid response DRSABCD and were able to practise their CPR skills on a dummy. They learnt how to identify danger, check for a response, send for help, check the airways and breathing, perform CPR and the importance of a defibrillator as the last step in the process.
The Foundation students had an age appropriate storytime lesson where they learnt what they can do in an emergency: look, listen and smell for danger, try to get a response and send for help (calling 000).
