Principal's News

Dear SMCM Community, Wominjeka!

Happy Easter and Welcome to Term 2!

Lord Jesus,

We are Easter people and Alleluia is our song.

Help us to live our Easter joy in all that we do and say.

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

I hope you all had a rejuvenating break from the routine of school uniforms and lunch boxes! Term 2 is shaping up to be an eventful time at SMCM. The key dates for the term are included in today’s newsletter. Please note these in your diary and check your Audiri App notifications are turned on to stay up to date throughout the Term.

Congratulations to our young Parishioners on participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time this week. Thank you to Fr Anh and Fr Tien for leading us in this sacramental celebration. Thank you to our Education in Faith Leader, Sarah and the Year 3 team - Vivian, Sarah, Chrissy and Daniella for preparing our students for their sacrament. Thank you to our families for allowing us to walk alongside you on your child’s faith journey. We look forward to another reverent liturgy tonight at 7pm.

There is a lot of excitement for next week's Colour Run! Check out the Community and Family Engagement section of the newsletter for more information. Thank you to all families for your generous donations! There is still time to donate! Funds raised will support continual upgrades to our facilities and learning resources for our students.

Congratulations to Bridget, Simon, Evaliah (Da Vinci Homegroup) and Levi on the safe arrival of you beautiful baby girl!

We send condolences to our families following the loss of loved ones. To Shefika, Robert and Sienna (Imagine Homegroup) on the loss of Shefika's mother. A reminder that there is no school for students on Thursday 25th April & Friday 26th April due to the ANZAC Day Public Holiday and school closure.
