Principal Survey – The Emotional Labour of doing the job!

Invisible labour: Principals’ emotional labour in volatile times

We encourage members to participate in this study as this is not your typical survey.  The researchers want to collect government school principals’ stories about the more invisible but crucial relational aspects of your work – your emotional labour.  The main thing you will be asked to do is share a significant story about a critical incident that you have experienced in your work as a principal. 

The researchers feel that these stories are crucial in capturing the extend and diversity of the invisible work as this will expand public understandings about the complex nature of the principal’s role.

The project is being conducted by a team of researchers from Monash University, Deakin University and the University of Sydney and we strongly encourage you to participate.
