Year 11 - RYDA Program

On Thursday 9th May, the Year 11 cohort was invited by the Lilydale Rotary to the Box Hill Institute in Lilydale to undertake the RYDA Program to commence the Road Safety Education Week.  We were split into groups and taken to complete a range of activities and workshops. Some highlights included seeing how speed can affect stopping time and hearing about how a car crash changed the life of our guest speaker. A handful of students were then surprised with a cement truck and were invited to sit in, finding all the blind spots and what it is like to drive.
