Year 10 Work Experience
Year 10 Work Experience is a pivotal moment in students' lives, offering a glimpse into the professional world. From first day jitters to hands-on learning, students navigate challenges, develop essential skills and gain invaluable insights into various industries. Through shadowing professionals and tackling tasks, they build confidence, resilience, and a deeper understanding of potential career paths. Work experience fosters networking opportunities and prompts reflection, guiding students in their future academic and career endeavours. It's a transformative journey that shapes perspectives, instils valuable lessons, and sets the stage for future success.

From 13th May to 17th May, Year 10 students attending Lilydale Heights College participated in the Year 10 Work Experience Week! Students took on many different types of jobs for their work experience. From carpentry to tech schools, primary schools, bakeries, and cafes, students truly had a blast during the days they attended their chosen employment, carrying out their daily tasks, jobs and activities. Some even had some friends at their work experience, while some went solo. Regardless, employers ensured that students had an educational but fun time at their industries. It truly was a fun and educational experience for all.
