Intermediate and Senior Badminton

We took three teams to the badminton competition for the day on Wednesday 22nd May. All of the students played extremely well. They were supportive of each other; they took on roles of scoring and umpiring, alongside their busy day of playing. Our performances showed times of brilliance and times of desperation, with bodies flying across the floor to reach for a shot and all teams took out plenty of wins throughout the day.   In terms of the final results with our Seniors – they were joint first place on number of matches and number of games, so it went down to the wire to determine the winner - unfortunately on the countback they ended second by 4 points.   The Intermediate team won all of their pool matches and were undefeated going into the  final of the day. They again were tied 3 games each at the end and then lost on the countback.  A great day was had by all – many students said they didn’t realise how much running around was involved in badminton – Fantastic!
