Level 3-6 House Athletics Carnival

Bill Sewart Reserve was again the venue for our Level 3-6 Athletics Carnival on Friday the 4th of May. The event was incredibly exciting and entertaining in perfect sunny conditions, and we were thoroughly impressed with the effort and attitude displayed by all the participating students. The day included various running events such as the 100m, 200m, and 800m, as well as field events like Discus, High Jump, Shot Put and Long Jump.

After a highly competitive and fun-filled day of competition, Solar emerged as the 2024 House Athletics champions going back to back. We extend our congratulations to the Solar team and its House Captains, Riyon and Ollie. (results are mentioned below).

We would like to express our gratitude to all the wonderful parents, teachers who contributed to making the day such a success. Thank you to all the teachers and parents who competed in the lunchtime relay as well.

The results from the Athletics Carnival will be used to select students for the District Athletics team, who will represent Rangeview in Term 3.

District Cross Country

Last week, 48 of our talented students headed to Ruffey Lake Park to compete in the Nunawading District Cross Country event. We couldn’t be prouder of the way our students encouraged each other, pushed themselves with their running, and demonstrated the Rangeview values throughout the day. It was another extremely successful day for the school, being crowned District Champions for the third consecutive year!! Overall, the school accumulated over 2300 points (our highest points total in over 10 years), a feat that would not have been possible without the incredible commitment our students have shown to training and Run Club. We want to say a big thank you to the wonderful families for all your support, not only on the day but throughout Run Club and training sessions. Also, a huge thank you again to Clint for his wonderful support with training, warm-ups, and running tips for our students. Congratulations to the 15 students who have qualified for the Whitehorse Division Cross Country later in May; we wish you the best of luck!! Go Rangeview!
