From the Year 4 Classroom

In Literacy, we are learning to read and write to inform. We have been reading nonfiction texts and identifying text features such as diagrams and glossaries.

We have been using the information we have learned to write our own nonfiction feature articles on a topic of our choice.

In Maths, we are learning to use units of measurement by practising with scaled instruments to measure and compare lengths, masses, capacities, and temperatures. By using tools like rulers, scales, measuring cups, and thermometers, we can accurately determine how long, heavy, full, or hot something is.

Companion Mass will be happening this Friday at 9:30 am. All Year 4 students will be attending. Our candidate's families are encouraged to attend and sit with their child.

In R.E. we are learning about the Sacraments of Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist—which are the foundation of Christian life in the Catholic tradition.

Several of our Year 4s have started their learning about their Confirmation and First Eucharist as they prepare to receive these later in the term.
