From the Year 1 Classroom

Year 1s have been busy completing their final week of our reading and writing informative texts. We’ve learnt so much about the incredible mini-beasts that live both inside and outside our homes! Watch out for those dust mites kids! Our students have been enjoying publishing their Mini-beast Information Reports using Google Slides for the very first time, and they can’t wait to share them with you all. 

In Maths, we have explored partitioning numbers using number bonds and writing two digit numbers in words. We’ve loved having Father Jun Jun in this week to share his story and for the children to ask questions. We have just finished up our unit on Baptism where we have learnt about symbols and belonging. We will be moving into learning about Pentecost which coincides well with our Year 4s preparing for Confirmation Eucharist.
