From the Year Prep Classroom

In Prep we have had a busy few weeks! 

In Reading we have been looking at Non Fiction Texts and their features. We have loved exploring Non Fiction texts in our Interest books. We have learnt so many interesting facts!

In Writing we have been working really hard to record the sounds we hear in words and to write a 'good' sentence. We have also been writing facts to tie in with our Non Fiction text learning. 

In Maths we have been learning about subtraction. We know we need to start at our biggest number, and we can use a number line to count backwards to solve problems. We have also been revising addition. 

In other news

We enjoyed a visit to Yarrawonga Library & Kennedy Park.

We are also so excited for our excursion next Thursday at the Wangaratta Theatre to see, How to Catch a Star!
