From the Year 6 Classroom
In Literacy, students have been creating feature articles on the topic, ‘I wish I thought of that’. Researching and using a range of text features to present what they have learned. The purpose was to entertain and inform readers about the creativity in ingenuity of inventors and their ground breaking inventions that have significantly impacted society.
In Numeracy, the students are focussing on measuring and ordering length, finding the perimeter of objects and calculating the area of shapes.
In Religion, the students have been discovering our Christian Heritage and building an understanding of the historical relationships between Judiasm, Christianity and Islamic faiths.
Our Inquiry topic, the Diverse and Connected World. The students have been learning about how we are connected to our neighbouring countries through importing and exporting goods.
Today our students were fortunate to experience 'Market Day,' where students were able to purchase home made goodies supplied by the Year 9 Students.
