Principal's update

Hello everyone,

Here is the newsletter for week three:

The five minute gardening club

Introducing the 5-minute Garden Club! This is a garden club for parents and carers and runs 3.15pm-3.30pm on Mondays and Thursdays. The aim of the game is that regular, small inputs will add up to something big. Come and give Taradale Primary School’s landscape some love! Whatever amount of time you can give will be welcomed.

Get in fast for an awesome pink t-shirt with custom slogan of your choice. Range of sizes available, garden gloves for your use. Meeting just inside the front gate, find the basket and Sam (parent of Romy) will guide you in what to weed and where. Fun, friendly and welcoming. Starts this Thursday - all welcome!

Soccer coach wanted (needed)

We are on the lookout for a new volunteer soccer coach in the lead up to the interschool soccer tournament. We need to run through basic skills and drills, positions, rules and practice working together as a team. The sessions can be run depending on your availability, e.g. before school, afterschool, lunch time.

Breakfast Club

The volunteer roster is completely empty!

We have a delivery of food arriving today to re-stock our Breakfast Club shelves, but without the help of wonderful volunteers we are unable to run the Breakfast Club

If you are available to help out this term, please add your name to term two roster via the link below.

The more days we can run Breakfast Club, the more often children attend. You can use the link below to add your name.

Volunteers

We welcome volunteers at our school. Volunteers can assist in many ways at the school including working bees, listening to children read, helping in our SAKG gardening and cooking classes.

Our SAKG classes run each week on Tuesday. The gardening classes run for an hour and the cooking class is for the morning. You can volunteer as a one off or as many times as you would like to. Mel and Chris do all of the planning and organising, volunteers support Children with activities and tasks.

If you are interested in volunteering, please see Chris

2024 and beyond enrolments

We are now taking enrolments for 2024 Preps and other years. We have an open day on Wednesday 15 May (see above).

If you know of anyone looking to enrol at Taradale, please let them know we aren't full and that we can accept enrolments from outside the neighbourhood catchment.
