Term 2: Week 2
GUIDING PRINCIPALS:
Last week, we had our first College Assembly for Term 2, where Ms Manders, Mr Brennan, and Miss McBryde introduced two of our new College Guiding Principles: DIGNITY and PERSEVERANCE. Please take some time to ask your child(ren) about this presentation, and how they might demonstrate Dignity and Perseverance in their everyday lives.
PRINCIPAL'S AWARDS:
Congratulations to all students who received a Principal’s Award at last week's assembly. Students must have received four Head of Year Awards and sixteen merits to be recognised for this award on assembly.
CARITAS FUNDRAISING:
A huge thank you to all families who supported Caritas last term. The College community raised $3500 for this worthy cause during Lent. We look forward to more fundraising efforts in Term 2.
PARENT, TEACHER, STUDENT CONVERSATIONS:
Thank you to all the families who attended our Parent, Teacher, and Student Conversations. It was terrific to meet so many parents and carers; attending these sessions is an excellent way to support your child with their learning.
WEEK 3, TUESDAY: ANZAC Day Memorial Service
This week, we will have our ANZAC Day Memorial Service on Tuesday from 9:30am in the HOB. Students will wear their normal Tuesday uniform for that day.
WEEK 3, THURSDAY: ANZAC Day Dawn Service (25 April 2024)
Thursday, 25 April is ANZAC Day - Public Holiday.
We encourage students to attend the ANZAC Dawn Service in Edmonton to pay their respects to our service men and women on behalf of the College.
Details for the Edmonton ANZAC Dawn Service can be found here:
Cross Country:
Due to last week's wet weather, our Cross Country will take place this Wednesday. Year 8 students will compete on Friday due to absence at the Year 8 Camp. We look forward to running this excellent event, hosted by the Sports Department. Please wear your house shirt, sports shorts, and appropriate runners for this event.
College Diary:
A reminder that all students should carry their College diary to all lessons. This is a great communication tool to support students with their learning and meet homework/assessment requirements. Parents and Carers are encouraged to check over their child’s diary to ensure it is used effectively. Parents and Carers are also encouraged to use the diary to communicate with teachers about homework or uniform concerns.
WEEK 4: MOTHER'S DAY ASSEMBLY
On Tuesday, 7 May, we will host our first Mother’s Day Assembly! All families are invited to come along, especially our Mother's and Carers!
To secure your seat at the Assembly and for catering purposes, RSVP to confirm your attendance:
