Around The Primary
Dear Families
Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing break with their families. It's been wonderful to watch the students get back into the swing of routines at school, reestablishing relationships with their teachers, education assistants and peers.
We are very excited about the upcoming term of teaching and learning. There are a lot of activities to look forward to, such as, assemblies, sports carnivals, incursions, excursions, yoga sessions, Music Eisteddfod, Spring Soiree, John XXIII Day festivities, Book Week, Fathers’ Day celebrations, and the much-awaited Year 4 Musical.
At our mini assemblies this week, I spoke to the children about the value of establishing a learning goal/s for the upcoming term. We encourage all parents and caregivers to carry on this discussion at home. It's important to support your child in acknowledging and appreciating their accomplishments, as well as, to motivate them to keep up their diligent effort on the more challenging learning tasks.
Additionally, I want to thank you for the level of parent participation and attendance at the parent-teacher meetings. Our students' learning environments are flourishing because of your support, and we are very blessed to have such a vibrant and caring community.
I wish everyone a productive and happy third term ahead.
Kind regards
Antoinette De Pinto

Primary Comfy Day
Thank you to families for supporting Primary Comfy Day last term, a total of $606.70 was raised for LifeLink Caring Agencies.
New College Phone System
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve our services, we have transitioned to a new Unified Communications/Telephony System to streamline our voice and video messaging and enhance the overall experience for parents and staff.
With this new system in place, we ask for your attention when leaving voice messages. After recording your message, please ensure to press the hash key (#) at the end of your message before hanging up. This step is essential as it signals the system to send your message successfully. Failure to press the hash key will result in your message not being delivered.
We understand this is a slight change from our previous system, and we appreciate your cooperation in adapting to this new process. Your messages are important to us, and we want to make sure that they are received and addressed promptly.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Uniform Requirements
It is wonderful to see our students proudly wearing their school uniform.
It is a requirement that all Years 1-6 students wear black leather school shoes with the College socks with their school uniform. Black sneakers are not permitted as an alternative.
All students are required to wear predominantly white sneakers (with white shoelaces) on their nominated PE/Sports days.
Additionally, when wearing school uniform, the College jumper must be worn, not the tracksuit/sports jacket.
Further information about the Uniform Guidelines can be found here Parent Information | Resources | Uniform Shop | John XXIII College
