DCS Community

As we get ready for the upcoming DCS Triva night (Saturday August 3rd), we thought it would be a great time to talk about DCS Community.

So, what is the DCS Community?

Our DCS Community (previously known as Parents & Friends), is a sub-committee of the DCS Board. The DCS Community works to build authentic community and family partnerships within our Christ-centred school.

Our vision is to build strong partnerships, connect and engage families, provide opportunities to support and serve, to foster a Christ-centred culture and to create the best possible environment for our children’s development at school.

We aim to do this by:

Meeting together regularly to promote fellowship and friendship; through this we strive to develop a real community between parents, teachers, students, families and friends of DCS.
Providing an open and healthy forum to discuss ways the DCS Community could benefit students and the school community.
Planning and organising activities and events that reinvest back into our families, children and their education.
Partnering with the leadership of the school and being committed to the value of Godly leadership within our committee.
Being inclusive, responsible, accountable and transparent.
Always giving the glory to God.

If you are wondering how you could serve in our community, we'd love you to come along to our next meeting on Wednesday 31st July at 9am in B block (straight after Worship Wednesday). See you there!

Trivia Night Baking Donations

We have our annual Trivia Night approaching on Saturday 3rd August and the DCS Community is after some baking donations for our amazing dessert boxes.

Do you love to bake slices, biscuits and truffles? If you do, we are after some of these freezer friendly items!

Please drop off to reception before Saturday 3rd August.

Subway Lunches

DCS Community facilitates the option of Subway lunches for all students each Wednesday. Orders are placed via the Subway Canteen Hub, and then delivered to school. Please read the information below if you would like to place an order.
