Happy Birthday Milo Monkey!

Our Prep students have just finished learning about the 26 letters of the alphabet! From the beginning of the year, we have introduced 1-2 letter sounds each week through our Milo’s Birthday Surprise book. In the book, Milo’s friends are always too busy to play with him on his birthday - or so Milo thought… Secretly, his friends were planning a surprise party for him!

On Monday 17th June, the Preps at Pakenham Springs dressed up as their favourite character from the Milo’s Birthday Surprise book and threw their own surprise party for Milo. In the morning, we had a visit from Milo and held a parade to show off our fabulous costumes. We returned to the classroom to make some party hats, do some writing and have some yummy party food. At the end of the day, Milo’s friends were hiding in the garden area, and we went on a scavenger hunt to try and find them!

We hope the Preps are very proud of their accomplishment, learning about all 26 letters – we teachers certainly are!
