Staff Update

From Mrs Tina Campbell

Welcome, Mr Cotterell

Mr Conrad Sloan has made the difficult decision to step away from his Head of Year 9 and 10 role from the start of Semester Two. He will be staying at St George’s as a full-time teacher of Physical Education, Outdoor Education and Science.

From the start of Term Three, Mr Brad Cotterell will be our Head of Year 9 & 10.

Mr Cotterell (pictured) has only recently joined the St George’s Family, coming into the Science Department at the beginning of this term where he has been teaching Psychology, Human Biology and Marine and Maritime Studies. He came to us from Newman College where he had been teaching Science across several different disciplines for the past seven years. Mr Cotterell also held the position of Head of House and Guild Coordinator at Newman College allowing him to pursue his passion for the pastoral care and wellbeing of students across all age groups.

Mr Cotterell is South African and prior to moving to Australia with his family, he was the Head of Boarding at St John’s College in Houghton, South Africa. It was within his boarding leadership role that he was able to hone his pastoral care leadership skills and he is excited to be moving into supporting the unique needs of our Year 9 and 10 students and their families from the beginning of next term.
