Our school's production of Frozen Jr is well under way, and the enthusiasm is palpable after the cast and crew's thrilling performance at Chapel last week. The dedicated and spirited presentation captivated the audience, showcasing not only the immense talent within our group but also the powerful bond that is forming among the members. This remarkable showcase of vocal prowess and emotional depth has ignited a fervour among the participants, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey ahead.
As we look forward to the holidays, we are excited to announce that Production Camp will be taking place during Week 3 of the break from the 9-12 July. This essential week-long event is mandatory for all cast and crew members and promises to be a fantastic blend of intensive rehearsals and team-building activities.
The schedule will be packed with engaging activities that foster creativity, collaboration, and confidence. From vocal coaching sessions to dynamic choreography workshops, each day will be an adventure aimed at bringing out the best in every member. By the end of the week, our cast and crew will be more connected and ready to bring the magic of Frozen Jr. to life on stage.
Following Production Camp, we will dive headfirst into Production Week during the first week of Term 3.. This critical period is where all our hard work and dedication come together. It's a time of intense rehearsals, final adjustments, and thrilling anticipation as we prepare to present our musical masterpiece to the school community. With the momentum gained from Chapel and the enriching experiences of Production Camp, we are confident that Production Week will be an exciting and productive culmination of our efforts.

Semester One has been an incredible one for the musos of St George’s.
We began the semester with Sounds@Sunset way back in March, rocked out at the ASC Rock Concert and wrapped up the term with an amazing performance of ABBA’s ‘Slipping Through My Fingers’ by Isla Andrews and Sadie Tibbitts at the ASC Annual Dinner.
A highlight of Term Two was heading to at Peter Moyes Anglican Community School last week ASC Rock concert where we saw St Mark’s, St James, Swan Valley, John Septimus Roe, Peter Carnley Anglican Schools, and of course our lovely hosts Peter Moyes, perform.
St George’s had many bands across Years 7-12 play their hearts out on an incredible stage in front of numerous students and staff. Every single St George’s band did usproud with their musical talent and skill for stage presence.
Thank you to all staff and students who tagged along on the 35 min trip to an exciting day out and thankyou to PMACS for hosting yet another successful ASC Rock Concert.
See you at the St George’s Battle of the Bands next term!

The Year 9 Dance class had a wonderful opportunity to complete a workshop at the King Street Arts Centre with Eloise Erikson, a first-year Bachelor of Dance WAAPA student who received one of the top WACE scores for the Dance Practical Examinations in 2023. The students developed a jazz combination to a Gwen Stefani song in which they applied all the dance phrases they had studied in class over the semester. Our students worked professionally and took on the choreography with great focus. It was a wonderful way to end the semester course, with flare and sass aplenty - amazing to see. Congratulations to all the dancers in Year 9 and a big thank you to Miss McGaw for booking the wonderful Eloise for us.
