Welcome back to Term 3!
Students enjoyed a number of wonderful experiences celebrating this year's NAIDOC Week ‘Keep the fire burning! Blak, Loud and Proud’. Check out some of the photos below.
We will be learning about symbolism, imagery, connotations and characterisation using a variety of texts including ‘Piano Fingers’. We will be exploring how authors use imagery and symbols in literature and identify how figurative language can influence meaning.
This term in mathematics, we will be learning about multiplicative relations. Students will be using visual representations and their knowledge of place value to understand the extension of numbers. Following this unit, students will begin exploring 2D Space through investigations and practical activities.
Education week is coming up in Week 3. Parents and carers are invited to join Stage 2 classes, giving students the opportunity to showcase their work before an assembly and lunch together in the hall. Keep an eye out on School Bytes for specific dates and times. We look forward to welcoming you into our classes.
