Welcome Lunch

The Senior Student Social Leaders Host a Welcome Lunch

This year our senior students have been a part of creating the Student Leader roles.  The Social Leaders wanted to be a part of creating an inviting and welcoming school.  Their Semester 1 project was to host a lunch to welcome all the new students that have come to our school during Term 1 and Term 2.

The Social Leaders group met with Ms Glenis to plan the day.  The group went around and asked the new students what foods they liked and asked them to pick a new friend that they would like to bring to the lunch.

We would like to thank the Vinnies Volunteers from Holy Family Church who donated some of the ingredients for our lunch we truly value their support

AT 9:30am Ms Glenis called a group of students to start cooking for the special lunch we organised to welcome our new students.

The first thing I cooked was some cookies for dessert. After we baked the cookies we started to make some tomato pasta and some mac and cheese. Another group of students made some bread rolls earlier in the day.

After everyone had eaten  their delicious food we gave them some dessert which was ice cream and the cookies that we made at the start of the day.  At around 3:00pm everyone had finished cleaning the room after a spectacular day.

The leaders organised cutlery the tables we cleaned and the room it looked like a café.   We played some Italian music, it was so romantic.

Our Communication, Education, Child Safety and Social Grade 6 school leaders helped clean and cook.   We also had other senior students that helped.

They were spectacular.  Everything was perfect. The students had smiles on their faces. It made everyone’s day.

We hosted a lunch for our new students. It was really fun because we got to make an Italian restaurant and play some café music. We got to make some Italian pasta and macaroni and cheese. Some other food that we got to serve was some ice cream, cookies, and bread rolls. And it was really fun!
