Jethro selected for Nunawading Spectres Basketball Tournament

Jethro (Year 11) was selected to play in the Under 18's team at the Nunawading Basketball Tournament in Melbourne on the June long weekend.

The Nunawading Spectres Basketball Association is one of the largest and most successful Basketball programs in Australia. Many Australian Olympic and World Champion players have participated in the Nunawading Basketball’s programs and competitions, more than any other Association in the country.

After a rigorous tryout process, Jethro was selected by the independent Nunawading coaches late last year. Selection is based on tryout performance, coachability, attitude, fundamental skills, and past performance.

Jethro was excited to play against several new teams and test his skills against different players in his age group. After six tiring games that required maximum effort, Jethro's team took first place! Well done!

Jethro says "It was a great experience to really test my physical ability to continue to play 100% even during tough games."
