End of Term Menu

As Term 2 draws to an end, we say 'thank you' for your support over the term.

A special THANK YOU to our parent and student volunteers for graciously blessing us with your time serving our community.

We have a special 'End of Term Menu' with all your favourite canteen meals. Pre-ordered lunch is available only on the last day of term.

The cut-off to order lunch for the last day of term is 8am Monday, 1 July.

The preferred method of ordering is the Qkr App and cash and EFTPOS (EFT with $5 minimum) can be placed at the canteen between 8:15 – 9am by Monday 1 July.

Wishing everyone a safe and restful winter break

God Bless.

Farwell and thank you Mrs Hughes

After seven years serving as Canteen Manager at our South Plympton Campus, Mrs Hughes is finishing up at the end of Term 2. She has faithfully and heartily served our community with passion. She has also blessed our students with the opportunity to serve in the canteen and learn about customer service and food handling.

On Monday and Tuesday this week, Mrs Hughes put on a THANK YOU lunch for her current Junior and Secondary student Canteen volunteers. The tables were dressed with 'Beauty and the Beast' decorations and hot chocolate packs and the students were gifted free lunch, drinks and dessert.

Thank you Mrs Hughes for being a friendly face and we pray Gods richest blessings upon you in your next season ahead.

New Canteen Partnership Starting Term 3

Dear South Plympton Parents

I am pleased to share some important updates regarding our South Plympton Canteen commencing in Term 3.

First, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Sharon Hughes, our dedicated Canteen Manager, who will conclude her tenure with our College at the end of Term 2. Sharon has been an incredible blessing to our community for the past seven years, serving with diligence and passion. We are truly thankful for her contribution.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Metro Canteens, beginning in Term 3. After careful consideration, we believe this collaboration will enable us to continue meeting the needs of our growing College community and provide our families with access to convenient, nutritious, and affordable food options.

Menu Highlights:

  • Base Menu: Offers familiar favourites such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, hot dogs, burgers and bakery hot foods.
  • Weekly Specials: Five delicious weekly specials to keep things exciting.
  • Dietary Options: A range of choices for students with dietary needs, including a specific gluten-free menu.

Metro Canteens will regularly review the menu based on feedback and demand.

Food Preparation

Metro Canteens adheres to the Department for Education’s ‘Right Bite Food and Drink Supply Standards’ for South Australian schools. Meals will be prepared onsite daily, ensuring freshness and quality.

Ordering Process

The ordering process has not changed. Your Qkr! App account will remain active with a daily close-off time of 8am. Cash orders will continue to be accepted for over-the-counter sales.

Canteen Staff

We understand that canteen staff build relationships with our students through daily interactions and demonstrating courtesy and kindness. Therefore, we have partnered with Metro Canteens to recruit our Canteen Manager to ensure support of our College’s Christian values. The Canteen Manager will be announced shortly.

Emergency Lunches

Students who forget their lunch will receive an emergency sandwich to ensure no one goes hungry.

We are excited about this new chapter and grateful for the privilege of providing an onsite canteen service at South Plympton.

We look forward to continuing to serve our wonderful community.

Blessings,

Sarah Ciuk
