SACSA Soccer Carnival Results
In Week 7, students from Year 3 - 10 participated in the SACSA Soccer carnival at Wynn Vale.
Year 3/4 Teams
Our two Year 3/4 teams enjoyed a fantastic day competing against their Christian School Counterparts. Both teams came Sixth Place, but more importantly, they had a great day of building resilience and perseverance to set them up for years to come.
The girls' team consisted of a few keen soccer players, and the rest were convinced to join by their friends. If there was an award for enthusiasm, it was theirs! They had so much fun together as a team, and had big smiles all day.
The Boys team saw some of our students rise as leaders, be accepted by peers and encourage one another. Sport is the vehicle; it's about so, so much more!!
Year 5/6 Teams
Year 5/6 students were both undefeated all day leading up to the finals. The Boys' unfortunate loss in the semi-final put them in Fourth Place out of 15 teams.
Our Girls were also undefeated all day, winning the semi-final. We lost 2-0 in the grand final to Portside yet placed second overall out of ten teams. As the day progressed, the girls improved in leaps and bounds, applying feedback and building confidence to 'give it a go'. An honourable mention to Maxi, star striker for the boys, and Makayla, who scored a whopping 15 goals for the girls!
Thank you to Liam, Rich and Ben Rodgers for their time, effort and expertise coaching our teams leading up to the event.
We are putting Brooklyn Park on the map in the CSA sport world and I'm so excited to see our teams continue to grow.
Kirrilee Collins

After tryouts and training over the last few weeks, we sent nine teams out to play at the SACSA Soccer Carnival in Week 7.
Excited students from Years 3 to 10 from both campuses spent all their energy and skill representing the College across four days and achieving the following results:
Congratulations to these passionate teams and their dedicated coaches!
