Senior Library

Welcome Back to Senior Library!

Hundreds of Huntingtower students have already visited the Senior Library in the first two weeks of 2024, whether it be for Year 7 orientation, Wider Reading classes, or using the space to study and meet with friends. It has been wonderful seeing everyone visit our space with such enthusiasm!

A friendly reminder to all Senior School students that their Holiday Loans were due back on Wednesday, February 7th. Please return any overdue titles to the Library as soon as possible, or renew them online via our Library Catalogue. 

All students are encouraged to visit the Senior Library page on HT Connect, where they can:

• View their loans, renew, and reserve books via the Library Catalogue;
• Access the Subject Help pages for resources related to assignments;
• Refresh their knowledge on Research Skills such as website evaluations and research tips;
• Access the Online Referencing Generator (under Bibliography & Citations);
• Read book reviews written by fellow students;
• And more!

Sora: The Student Reading App

All Huntingtower students can access thousands of eBooks and audiobooks via the Sora reading app, or the website on their laptops.

Students are encouraged to follow the steps in the guide below to login to Sora. For any help using this app, students should visit the Senior Library or email library@huntingtower.vic.edu.au

Scholastic Book Club for Secondary Students

We are currently trialling opening the Scholastic Book Club for Secondary Students. 

Students can collect a physical catalogue from the Senior Library. All orders will be placed online via Scholastic LOOP and students will be emailed by Library staff when they are available to collect. 

Students placing orders should select ‘Senior Library’ as their class.
