TERM 1 WEEK 2
Welcome back! We hope you had a restful and enjoyable break. As we gear up for the start of a new school year, we are filled with enthusiasm and excitement to welcome all our students back to LNPS. Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, we extend a warm welcome to you and your child.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Building Connections Community Event on Monday. This was a great opportunity to connect with teachers and families. Thank you to our staff and all the volunteers who made this wonderful event happen. If you have any feedback about the event please email tyson.grinham428@schools.sa.edu.au or mirjana.grubor793@schools.sa.edu.au
This year, we are placing a special emphasis on continuing to build strong relationships, instilling our school values, and fostering positive learner qualities. We believe that a positive and supportive learning environment is built on strong relationships. Teachers will be dedicating time during the first weeks to get to know their students, creating a foundation for a trusting and collaborative classroom community.
At Lockleys North Primary School we have high expectations for all our students. Aiming high is not just a goal. We believe that every child has the potential to achieve success, and we are committed to providing the support and guidance necessary for their progress towards success.
Our Aiming High Expectations will be explicitly taught and referenced as part of our behaviour expectations. Students will understand that these expectations apply always, whether in the classroom, during learning time, or in the schoolyard. We believe that setting clear expectations creates a positive and respectful learning environment for everyone.
We encourage you to reinforce these expectations at home and engage in conversations with your child about their experiences at school. Your partnership is invaluable in ensuring a successful and positive learning journey for your child.
As we embark on this new school year together, we are excited about the possibilities and opportunities for growth and achievement. Read more on the "Empowered Learners at LNPS page."
As per the Department for Education Policy - All students are required to keep personal devices 'off and away' between the start and end of each school day and while they are attending authorised school activities off-site, such as camps and excursions. This includes mobile phones and smartwatches, (e.g Apple Watches). We appreciate everyone's support with this policy.
We are delighted to introduce our exceptional staff, the cornerstone of our school's commitment to fostering growth. Our staff are a team of passionate educators, administrators, and support professionals. With a wealth of experience, our staff bring vast and rich knowledge and expertise to the classroom.
Meet the LNPS staff 2024!
