Parents Club - We need you!
Dear Families of Cavendish Primary School,
Parents & Friends request your support!
The Parents & Friends Club at our primary School has always been integral to the delivery of the wonderful educational and extra special activities our children and families have benefitted from. Over many years the P & F have supported school and community events and activities, both financially and through volunteering time and effort.
Fundraising effort go towards paying for many of the things required each year such as:
- Technology upgrades
- Sporting equipment and clothing
- Tutoring and some staffing costs
- Maintenance and upgrades to our facilities and grounds
- Classroom furniture and equipment
- Covering and subsidising school camps
- Swimming program costs
- Treat day lunches for the kids
- School community building events
- Special activities, visitors and excursions
And much, much more!
With many of our long-standing families moving on in the next few years, we are in need of new members to share the load and continue to support our children, school and wider community.
Our small enrolment numbers and larger than normal cohort moving to high school, makes extra funds and a team effort even more vital.
We have the upcoming Cavendish Red Gum Festival on 13th April (last weekend of the Easter Holidays) which is a fantastic opportunity to raise substantial funds from outside our own community (and pockets!) and we will be needing the efforts of all families to run the Family & Friends Café & Bake Sale.
Life is busy for everyone and the more each family can pitch in, the lighter the load for all.
If you are unable to commit to attending every meeting (currently only 1 per term, plus special event meetings) You can still support the efforts by becoming a member and helping with tasks. Even small amounts of effort make a huge difference.
Our AGM and first general meeting will be Monday 26th Feb, 7pm at the school, and we would love to see you there. Everyone is welcome!
Please RSVP via our WhatsApp group, or just come along. If you are unable to make it an RSVP would still be greatly appreciated. Tammy, our School Business Manager will be sending home a P & F Club registration form to all families and new members will be added to our communications.
