Class Information Packs

Keep an eye out for the 2024 class information packs due out next week!

Each teacher is compiling a selection of notes to inform families about the expectations, timetable and routines for their grade. If you would like to talk to a teacher in person please feel free to contact the school to find a suitable time.

Scholastic Bookclub Orders

Issue 1 of the Bookclub brochures for 2024 have been distributed to all interested children. If you wish to order any of the items please read and follow the online ordering instructions on the brochure. Every order that you make results in bonus points for the school that we can use to select books and resources for each classroom.

Please complete orders by Friday 16th February.

Monthly Blitz

Our monthly positive behaviour focus is Getting Along.

We can show this by:

  • Smiling
  • Being friendly
  • Inviting others to join in
  • Sharing
  • Using kind words
  • Looking after everyone (not just our friends).

Bushfire At-Risk School - Category 3

Earlier in the week we sent out a newsletter item through our School app in relation to what would happen if there was a catastrophic fire danger rating forecast.  The newsletter article is attached in case you did not see it through the school app.

Concession Card - Camps Sports and Excursion Funding

If you hold a concession card please contact Tammy as soon as possible so she can give you an Application for funding for your child.  If you received funding last year, please let Tammy know that you still have the concession card and confirm the SRN number for the application.  The funding this year has risen to $150.00 per child so this would be a great help with Years 3-6 camp to Melbourne later this year!

Privacy Policy

Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ Privacy Policy and the Schools’ Privacy Collection Notice.

Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy http://cavendishps.vic.edu.au/school-policies/, describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn. We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use Microsoft 365/Google Workspace for Education safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using Microsoft 365/Google Workspace for Education, please contact the school.

Have a lovely weekend
