Parents & Friends Committee

The Wrap Up

Our 2023 calendar ended on a high note last week with Parent & Friends hosting our annual Prep Transition Morning Tea at Molesworth Street Campus. A generous cohort of current Prep & Grade 1 parents offered to bake a beautiful assortment of tasty goodies (muffins, cookies, brownies, gingerbread Christmas trees), to accompany our favourite Small Batch coffee brew, to welcome all the incoming 2024 families to NMPS.

This wrapped up another fun year of activities for P&F which included our annual events:

·       Harmony Day Picnic (Mar)

·       Book Week Raffle (Aug)

·       Breaky BBQ (Sept)

·       Art Show Stall (Oct)

·       Referendum Day Bake Sale (Sept)

·       Classroom Helpers Morning Tea (Mar)

With thanks

We very much appreciate everyone’s contribution and participation over the course of the school year. The wellspring of ideas, positive attitudes and community spirit contribute to the success of these events, and the ultimate reward of seeing those happy smiles on our student’s faces as they delight in the extra-curricular activities provided by their parents and carers.

School Fete is coming

We have our next School Fete coming up in November 2024 and your enthusiasm, skills, and energy will be very welcomed as we embark on the planning and organization for this much-loved bi-annual event!

Come along

To all those who’ve recently expressed interest in getting involved next year we look forward to seeing you at our first 2024 meeting at the start of Term 1 on Tuesday 6 February.

The first meeting is Tuesday 6 February and P&F AGM will be held in March 2024, and we are seeking new members, with several long-term committee members standing down.

Parents and Friends overview

Who are P&F? We are a small group of parent and community volunteers who organise fundraising and social activities that bring our school community together.

Who can join P&F? Anyone who cares about our school and is willing to help out with or lead activities and events.

What’s the commitment? Meetings are held at least monthly, usually on a Tuesday evening at a local venue near the school. Members can lead activities or provide support and assistance where possible/convenient. New members and ideas are always welcome! If you can’t attend the meetings, you are welcome to join our ‘keep in touch’ list and we’ll call on you to volunteer from time to time.

What’s in it for me? It’s a great way to get to know other members of the school community and feel connected to the school and your child’s education.  We are small, friendly group where you will feel welcome and valued.  Volunteering is rewarding!

Keep in touch
