The 2024 season kicks off for our boys this Monday, February 19th, with the bus leaving the JTC bus shelter at 5:05 am. Remember your water bottle and hat as the mornings are quite warm. A big shout-out to our rowing community for making the Boys in the Boat movie fundraiser a success. Special thanks to our dedicated parents on the rowing committee for organizing this fantastic event. Your support is invaluable. See you at the boatshed!

South West Head of the River: 15 and 16 March 2024

The South West Head of the River is fast approaching! This fun regatta is held at the Bunbury Rowing Club, Cobblestone Drive, Bunbury on Saturday, 16 March.

Rowers and their families traditionally head down on Friday and stay overnight in Bunbury. There are many accommodation options in Bunbury, most families stay at The Lighthouse or the Lord Forrest. If you haven’t made your accommodation arrangements yet, I would suggest making them soon. Families from other schools also stay in Bunbury overnight.

Please look out for the South West Head of the River RSVP form in the newsletter next week.

Stack Team App

Please download the ‘Stack Team App’ on your phone as this is the central place for training schedules, training updates, and access to the rowing handbook to name a few. It is important that all rowers and parents have access.

To get this app go to the App Store or Google Play and download Stack Team App onto your mobile device, then follow these simple steps:

  1.  Sign-up to Stack Team App. You’ll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
  2.  Log-in and search for JTCRC, then request to become a member.

Asthma and Allergies

A reminder that all rowers with asthma or allergies are required to bring their asthma puffers, EpiPens, or required medication to all sessions.
