Grade 4 Report

Excited for More in Grade 4!

The Grade 4 students have hit the ground running, excited for the first year in the “Senior Years”.

We have used the first week and a half to ask lots of questions and learn about all the exciting new things that come with being a Grade 4 student, including getting used to our new timetable. There has been a big focus on how we can show our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Learning Success in and out of the classroom and we have learnt a lot about our new classmates and teachers.

Some eagerly awaited activities for this year’s students include our first camp in Term 3, our literature unit, beginning the Drama program and a little thing called the iPad program!

During Term 1 we will be learning Biology and exploring lifecycles of plants and animals, including watching some animal transformations in our classrooms and an excursion to the Latrobe Wildlife Sanctuary in Bundoora. We will begin to use Google Classroom on our iPads in class and at home and explore how to use technology to support our learning, with lots of learning and practise about staying safe online and using iPads responsibly.

We can’t wait to welcome all the families at 3-Way conferences in Week 4. Check out the photos of activities we have produced in Week 1.
