Grade 2 Report

Welcome!

Welcome back to a new and exciting year in Grade 2!   

The children have adjusted wonderfully to the move to the senior school and they are already feeling happy and settled in their new environment.  All of the students have enjoyed getting to know their new teachers and the routines of their classrooms and we know that we are going to have a fantastic year of learning ahead.  The children have also done a great job of getting themselves into their classrooms, unpacking their belongings and beginning their day in a calm and organised way.  

Thanks so much to the parents who are encouraging their children to demonstrate their resilience and independence by saying goodbye at the gates.

The teachers are all feeling excited about working closely to create an engaging learning environment all for all of the Grade 2 students.  The wellbeing of all of the students in the year level is uppermost for us and with this in mind we have an area in the covered space between the Grade 2 classrooms where children can sit and enjoy quiet activities and games during recess and lunchtime.  

The children have also appreciated having the option of visiting the library during Tuesday and Thursday lunch or joining in lunch club activities on the other days of the week.
