Reflection

Lord Jesus,

You fasted in the desert for forty days and nights. You sought solace to be with your Father and to prepare for your future. In Lent, you give us the opportunity to do the same. To draw ever closer to you in your mission, your suffering and death, and your resurrection, which has saved the world.

May this Lent be a time of taking stock of examining our lives and our relationships. May it be a time of joy of helping others, of seeing a need and fulfilling it. And most of all, may it be a time when you draw us ever closer to yourself as we embrace your paschal mystery.

We ask this in your name.
