PE

House Athletics

House Athletics will take place on Monday the 26th of February, at Kings Park in Ferntree Gully. All year 3 – 6 students will be involved in this wonderful day.

If you are available to help run an event with a staff member, we need you! No athletics experience is necessary. You do need to have a valid Working with Children Check to volunteer. Please email me if you would like to come down and help out.

PMP

From the 15th of February, foundation to year 2 students will participate in our Perceptual Motor Program (PMP).

We believe that movement is at the heart and at the start of how the brain develops, determining how children think, feel, behave, and learn. PMP is designed to help children develop the physical foundations necessary for self-management readiness and success in the classroom.

We are looking for parent helpers to support this program. Each parent helper would run a station. Each station will have an activity card and equipment. You would be responsible for explaining the activity and supporting students in completing the activity. Students will move between stations in groups of 4-6 students. Siblings are welcome to come with you, but will need to remain with you at your station.

The session will run from 12-1pm every Thursday. If we have enough interested helpers we will run a training session next Thursday for 30 minutes. If you would like to be involved, please send me an email with your availability this term.

Thanks for your support,
