Nurturing wellbeing

As we bid farewell to the holiday season and step into the new year, it is with great enthusiasm and anticipation that our Wellbeing Team welcome everyone back to school. The start of the term brings not only a fresh academic challenge but an opportunity to prioritise our collective wellbeing. We want to highlight some thoughts on how we can start the new year and new term.

Firstly, we encourage you to embrace the transition back to school. Returning to school after holidays can be both exciting and a bit challenging. It’s perfectly normal to feel a mix of emotions, its essential for us to acknowledge and validate them.  We encourage you to approach this transition with a mindful and supportive mindset.

This term we would love to start with placing an emphasis on nurturing the wellbeing of our students from the get-go, highlighting that wellbeing is not just about our physical health but also encompasses emotion, social and mental aspects. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and equipped to thrive.  Our team values an open dialogue and multiple support systems by encouraging open communication. We encourage students to be open about any concerns or anxieties that arise during the transition of holidays into term one.

As we embark on this new term, let’s carry with us positivity and resilience cultivated during the holidays. By prioritising wellbeing, embracing the support from our Emmaus community, fostering an open dialogue, we hope to ensure that your return to school is not only academically enriching but also emotionally fulfilling. Here’s to a term filled with growth, learning and wellbeing for all!

The Wellbeing Team look forward to supporting your child through life’s challenges this year.

Please contact a member of our team if you require support for your child or make a referral on our Emmaus website.
