Galilee GPA

In 2023, our GPA created many special memories and moments for both our students and the school community. As a community we raised money to contribute to two projects in our school: our library refurbishment and upgrading digital technology in our classrooms.

For the library, we have been able to paint the entire interior of the library - including the downstairs foyer, stairwell, upstairs foyer and the main library space. We also purchased new furniture including shelving for fiction and non-fiction books, browsing book bins for picture story books to make these books more accessible for students and low book bins. New books and soft furnishings were also purchased.

In upgrading our digital resources, the school purchased brand new touch screen Lenovo laptops. The GPA and school community fundraising contributed to the increased number of Chromebooks for students in Years 3-6. This means that from 2024, every student from Year 3 to Year 6 will have access to their own Chromebook thanks to the incredible efforts and donations from our school community. This is a huge boost to our digital technology access and infrastructure across the school for our students. Our intention is to focus on increasing digital literacy for all staff and students, giving our students the opportunity to learn more about digital systems, coding, data interpretation and staying safe online.

Run for Tae Yoon

This year many Galilee Parents and students will be joining the 'Run for the Kids’ and raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital, as a tribute to Tae. Tae loved his RCH family, and they loved him!

Lea says Tae would say “Yay! Come on join us! Run with me” and we all know Tae would want as many people as possible to be there.

So “Yay! Come on join us! Run with us for Tae”!
