This Friday 25th October at 10:00am Sacred Heart will begin Mission Day with a special Mission/ All Saints/ All Souls Day Liturgy.
On the Liturgical calendar All Saints Day is marked on the 1st November, a day where we celebrate all saints and martyrs. All Souls Day is on the 2nd November, the day we remember those who have passed before us.
Following the liturgy and recess, we will set up stalls and activity stations to begin our Mission Day activities.
Each year level has chosen an activity or goods to sell that will raise money for people in need.
Foundation- Cupcakes, Year 1- Lolly bags, Year 2- Decorated biscuits, Year 3- Dim sims, Year 4-Recycled T-Shirt Bags, and Chocolate Toss Game, Year Five- Crazy pencils and Year six- several activity stalls and set up.
Every year throughout the month of October, the Catholic Church around the world supports a range of mission development programs addressing malnutrition, the lack of access to education for young children, displacement of people/communities and much more. We at Sacred Heart are proud to be able to take part in the Catholic Mission in raising money for those less fortunate.
