Sensitive Sunscreen
With the increased sunshine and change of weather, students are being encouraged to protect their skin with the use of sunscreen.
We encourage the use of school provided sunscreen, (also soap and sanitiser), but medical exemptions are certainly accommodated. If your child cannot, for medical reasons, use the school provided items, our policy is to treat personal products as though they are medicines. This requires carers to provide the product in the container in which it was dispensed, with pharmacy-printed label showing child’s name, expiry etc. Pharmacy-labelled sanitiser and sunscreen is kept in the classroom/ OSHC (the teachers/educators will store it on a shelf, or in a basket within a cabinet), not in student’s backpack.
