Junior School
In Prep/1, we finished off our Inquiry unit by making some beautiful Australian animal clay figurines.
The students each had to research 2-4 facts about their chosen creature as well as draw upon their knowledge of the habitats that we saw these animals living in at Healesville Sanctuary (during our excursion last term). They also had to identify food sources as well as distinct physical features on their animal.
We also finished our assessments of our plant's growth throughout the term. Each week, the students had to record any changes they observed with their plant. We discussed access to light and water as well as other needs of plants within a garden compared with our seedlings in a bag. We all had lots of fun with these projects!
