Term 4 Netball
Last Saturday, our College netball teams started the first round of the Saturday morning netball competition, setting a great foundation for the remainder of the season.
The Year 3 and 4 College Rubies commenced the season with a hard-fought draw.
In the Year 5 and 6 competition, our College Sapphires won their first game with a solid 12-goal win. The girls teamed together really well and have set a high standard for the remainder of the season.
Our Year 7 and 8 girls, the College Mavericks, also had a close encounter, playing a 17-goal draw against opposition team Monivae Green.
In our Years 9 to 12 competition, College Vixens played Monivae Orange, going down by five goals. After recovering from a rocky start, the team improved throughout the later quarters, outscoring the opposition in the final quarter.
Our other senior team, the College Thunderbirds, played Monivae Yellow, securing a convincing 31-goal win.
Well done to everyone who participated, and good luck to all players in this week's upcoming games.
Thank you to all the coaches, team managers and umpires who made the day possible.
