A Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Carergivers
Busy Term for Our Students
Our students have been actively engaged in a variety of activities across the College. They have been diligently completing their assessments and testing, demonstrating their hard work and commitment to their learning. Alongside their academic efforts, they have also participated in several exciting excursions and incursions, which have provided valuable hands-on learning experiences and enriched their understanding of various subjects. Additionally, our students have shown great enthusiasm in a range of sporting activities, showcasing their talents, teamwork, and sportsmanship. It’s wonderful to see their growth and engagement in all aspects of school life.
At Salvado Catholic College, we are committed to strengthening our ties with our community. I encourage all parents and caregivers to get involved in our various upcoming events and initiatives throughout the term. Your involvement plays a crucial role in the success of our school community, and we value your support. I would like to extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' to our wonderful Friends of Salvado (FoS) for organising an extremely successful Primary Disco last week. The event was a huge hit, with students enjoying an evening filled with music, dancing, fun and games. We are grateful for the time and effort invested in making this event so special for our students. It is through such collaborative efforts that we continue to build a strong and vibrant school community.
Successful Inaugural Primary Swimming Lessons
I am delighted to share that our inaugural primary swimming lessons were a great success over the first two weeks of term. The students showed enthusiasm and progress in their skills, and it was wonderful to see them grow in confidence in the water. We are excited to announce that this program will continue into 2025, ensuring that all our primary students receive the opportunity to develop this important life skill. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Christine Pitman for coordinating the lesson schedules and transport. Also, a big 'Thank You' to the teachers for their flexibility with lesson planning and ensuring the students were prepared.
Sacrament of Confirmation
Congratulations to all our Year Six Confirmation candidates who received the Sacrament at Mass on Sunday. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey, and we are proud of each of them for their commitment and dedication. Today, we gathered to celebrate this special occasion as a school community with a beautiful cake, sharing in the joy of this important sacramental event. We pray for God’s continued blessings upon our candidates as they grow in their faith.
End of Year Reports
Teachers are already beginning the process of preparing end of year reports. These will provide a comprehensive overview of each student’s progress and achievements over the course of the year. Reports will be available via our online portal, SEQTA, in the final week of term. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.
Looking Ahead to 2025
We are also busy planning for the 2025 academic year, and we are excited about the initiatives and programs we will be introducing to enhance student learning and engagement.
I wish all our students, families, and staff a productive and fulfilling Term Four. Let’s work together to ensure it is a time of growth, celebration, and success for all. Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to Salvado Catholic College.
